FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You will need to bring a helmet (minimum Snell SA2010 rated or better) and any other personal protection equipment (PPE) you feel necessary. It is also required that you wear closed shoes, a long sleeve shirt and long pants while driving.

FOOD & BEVERAGE: Please bring water, snacks and other refreshments.  The Circuit’s restaurant is NOT OPEN during School programs.  There are many restaurants located within minutes of the race track.

If you run a sport muffler, the maximum decibel output allowed at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant is 92db.  Cars exceeding this are removed from the circuit and excluded from further participation without refund.

If you have a traveling companion he or she is most welcome to observe the School in session or enjoy the many fine shops, restaurants, and activities available in the Mont Tremblant Region.

The race track is an exciting but still a dangerous place. For this reason, we ask that you observe the following track regulations:

CHILDREN: Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the pitlane and must be accompanied and escorted by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

PETS: Pets are not allowed. Only seeing-eye dogs or dogs used to assist disabled guests are allowed past the admission gates to the circuit.

  1. Arrive with a full tank of fuel (a fuel station is located nearby)
  2. Tire pressure should be adjusted to manufacturer recommendations and wheels properly torqued.
  3. Your car must be in excellent mechanical condition (tires, brakes, lights, no leaks, etc.)
  4. Convertibles must have factory installed roll over bar or manufacture installed roll over safety protection when driving in Performance Lapping Sessions.

No experience is required.  Courses are available to anyone 16 years and over, however, students under 18 must have parental consent.

To ensure students receive instruction tailored to their own ability, the Jim Russell Racing School keeps class sizes small to maximize track time.
Our tuition includes everything except applicable taxes, personal transportation, lodging, and meals.
Programs are conducted Rain or Shine.  You may cancel or re-schedule your reservation anytime 30 days prior to to the first day of your scheduled program, there will be a  $100 processing fee deducted from your deposit.  Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

Arriving from the West: Enter Montreal via Autoroute 40; turn North on Autoroute 13; East on Autoroute 640 and finally North on Autoroute 15 (the Laurentian AutoRoute).

Arriving from the East: By-pass Montreal via Autoroute 640; turn North on Autoroute 15 (the Laurentian AutoRoute).

Arriving from the South: Enter Montreal via Autoroute 15 using the Champlain Bridge; turn East on Autoroute 40, then North on Autoroute 15 (the Laurentian AutoRoute).

The Laurentian Autoroute (15) ends in Sainte- Agathe but will automatically connect with Highway 117. Continue Northbound on 117 to just past the town of Saint-Jovite, and take exit 119 (Montée Ryan Road) for Mont Tremblant. Turn right on Montée Ryan Road, continue to the roundabout and continue 270 degrees around and exit on Chemin du Village (Route 327). CONTINUE ON CHEMIN DU VILLAGE PAST THE FRONT ENTRANCE GATES OF THE RACE TRACK through the village of Mont Tremblant, then turn right on Chemin Seguin street, which ends at the paddock entrance to the track.
